Back in 1953, the Patriarchal had certain worries about the Roman Catholic committee in Kuwait and had a strong urge to know about their overall situation. Since Baghdad was the nearest official vicariate, Cardinal Maximous Hakeem started to sketch a plan on how to officially send someone to fully investigate the Kuwaiti region and the Roman Catholic residents.
Several years later, precisely in 1960, Cardinal Maximous Hakeem had officially sent Priest Pasillious Kanakrie on an investigating mission to Kuwait to study and gather as much possible information about the Roman Catholic committee, their lifestyle and needs. Priest Pasillious had reported back in one month fully explaining the situation. Based on that report our Patriarchal had officially assigned (in 1972) Priest Pasillious Kanakrie himself as its humble servant in charge of Baghdad and Kuwait regions.
